Along with many other vaccine providers across the state, our partners are having difficulty securing shipments of Covid-19 vaccine. We are sorry to announce that our clinic at Gonzales Community School, which was scheduled for 11/6 has been cancelled.
The clinic at Ortiz Middle School, scheduled for 11/8 will offer flu vaccine for people of all ages and Covid-19 pediatric vaccine (for ages 6 months-12 years) only. Unfortunately, there will be no adult Covid-19 vaccine available at Ortiz. If you are looking for a place to get an adult Covid-19 booster, please visit: https://vaccine.doh.nm.gov/

Ortiz's very own Counselor Jessica Roberson applied to Outridebike.org, and our students now have 25 bikes to ride in their PE classes!! This is one of the coolest things our students have received in awhile! Thanks Ms. Roberson! Our PE teachers have been trained to get the students riding and comfortable on their mountain bikes! Today was their first day riding, here is to MANY MORE!!!
Join our dynamic small secondary schools on October 24th from 5:30 - 6:30 PM at 610 Alta Vista Street for Pre-Lottery Options Night! There will be short presentations from our 3 small secondary schools and the opportunity to talk with representatives from each school! There will be presentations from Mandela International Magnet School, Early College Opportunities, and Desert Sage Academy!

Our vaccine clinic partner has received their shipment of adult (12+) COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines. The clinic at El Camino Real this afternoon and at Capital High tomorrow will offer flu shots for people of all ages and COVID-19 vaccines for individuals aged 12 and up!

Students will be filling out a survey next week on risk and resiliency, it is anonymous and students aren't forced to answer all questions.

Know a teacher or Educational Support Professional (ESP) who is just outstanding? Nominate them for the SFPS Outstanding Educators Recognition Award!
Nusenda recognizes a classroom teacher and an ESP for the Santa Fe Public Schools. The chosen honoree is surprised in person with a certificate and gift, and recognized on the district website and social media.
Students, parents, teachers, secretaries, principals, community members, and any other stakeholder may nominate a classroom teacher and/or ESP for this honor by completing a nomination form below or by completing a paper nomination form located at 610 Alta Vista (ESC).
The window for the first round of nominations will open on October 4 and will close on October 13, 2023.
